On Saturday, 30 November 2019, The Supreme Cadets Institute welcomed over 150 guests to our annual awards ceremony at Sefako Makgatho Primary School.
We celebrated our Cadet’s achievements and motivated them to continue on their path of excellence. Awards were given for various categories including Academics, Brass Band, Drum Majorettes, Punctuality, Attendance and Leadership.
Angelica Aguh, an outgoing matric Cadet, gave an inspirational and moving speech recounting her experience of being a part of the organization. The main message of her address was to encourage our Cadets to be resilient and determined in their school work
Our guests were entertained during the day by our junior and senior Cadets who recited poems, sang in a choir and rendered musical items through the brass band.
Our new Cadet’s for 2020 from the SK Moseneke Primary School graced us with their presence together with their parents. Our Patron, Koketso Moseneke welcomed our new Cadets for 2020 together with their parents. She provided our guests with an overview of our 2019 as well as a brief of what to expect in the 2020 programme. In addition she thanked the Rangers, teachers, principals as well as volunteers for their contribution to the Supreme Cadets Institute as well as to the development of the Cadets. She urged all the above parties to continue working together in order to ensure that the cadets become developed in all aspects of their lives.
The Cadets and their parents were given a tour of the new classrooms being built at Sefako Makgatho in partnership with the Nzama Family Trust. All guests were then invited to join SCI for refreshments after the formalities and photographs had taken place.
