Onthatile Mokoena
Chief Operating Officer
Onthatile Mokoena joined the Supreme Cadets Institute in 2018 as the Chief Operations Officer. She is responsible for the development and running of the organization. Her line of work, coupled with her studies have allowed her to engage and tackle youth and community development issues in local, regional, and international spheres.
Prior to joining the Supreme Cadets Institute, she served on the student council of the South African Sociology Association in 2017. She currently serves as the secretary of the youth led NPO, 100+ Movement in Atteridgeville.
Onthatile holds an MSc (Sociology) from the University of Pretoria as well as a BA(Hons in Sociology) from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is currently pursuing her Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management at the University of South Africa (Unisa).
Onthatile’ considers herself to be a self-driven organizational strategist and self starter. She is passionate about HIV/AIDs and community work focusing on the health and educational development of young women. She is particularly interested in how education and public health can be used as drivers for the holistic development of young black women. A proven track record of leading change and enabling participatory leadership by facilitating changemaking strategies in various organizations and institutions.
She has also been recognized for her creative, people-centered approach and ability to structure and deliver complex projects that result in lasting, sustainable and impactful change.
